Obituary of Andy Lyons

The passing of Anthony “Andy” Allen Lyons of Boiestown, NB, husband of the late Linda Lyons, occurred on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Central New Brunswick Nursing Home.  Born on October 29, 1953 in Carroll's Crossing, NB, he was the son of Marple and Madeline (Rhynard) Lyons. Andy was a woodsworker and millworker before retirement. His two passions were hockey and fishing.

 

Andy is survived by his children, Anthony Lyons (Jessie Collins), Melissa Hunt (Chad); siblings, Nancy Price (Ronnie), Etta Palmer (Greg), Linda Flinn, Everett Lyons (Elaine), Bobby Lyons; chosen daughter, Sarah Rhoddy (Koltt) and her children Alexis and Landon Beauchamp and Kenzie Rhoddy; several nieces and nephews.


Besides his wife and parents, Andy was predeceased by his sister, Marge Baillie.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 12-2 pm and will be followed directly by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Brewer officiating.  Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville. A luncheon will follow at the Boiestown Legion. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
