Obituary of Inez Mabel Sutherland

The passing of Inez Mabel Sutherland, wife of the late Lloyd Sutherland, formerly of Doaktown, NB, occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at York Care Centre.  Born on September 2, 1932 in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (O'Donnell) Miner. Inez was a homemaker, enjoyed family gatherings, going to jamborees, sewing, quilting and church suppers. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and the ACW.

Inez is survived by her children, Brenda Walker (Richard), Darlene O'Donnell (Malcolm), Brian Sutherland (Heather), Carolyn Hallihan (Ralph); grandchildren, Robbie (Shelley) Sutherland, Jonathan Sutherland, Emily (Rodney) Snow, Ryan Hallihan, Shawn Hallihan; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Kristen Sutherland, Nolan Snow; great-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Brynleigh; siblings, Shirley Mantha, Elma Duder, Ernest Miner (Brenda), Ruthene Storey, Diana Sherwood (Paul); numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Catherine Schaufele, Georgina Price, Mae McGilligan, Jennie Stewart, Eileen Storey.

The family would like to thank the staff at York Care, Tower 3 for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother during her stay there.  We are particularly thankful to have had their constant support and medical attention to our mum over the past several days.

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 327 Main Street, Doaktown, NB on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 2 pm with Rev. Neil Osiowy officiating.  Interment will be in St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery (Russell Hill). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Parish of Ludlow and Blissfield (St. Andrew's Cemetery).  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
