Obituary of Gene Beverly Clowater

The passing of Gene Beverly Clowater formerly of New Bandon, NB, husband of the late Lynn (Smith) Clowater, occurred on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his home in Fredericton.  Born on November 11, 1937 in McNamee, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Sinclair) Clowater. Gene was a Gunner in the 82^nd Airborne Division after which he moved to British Columbia to work for BC Hydro. He later retired back to New Brunswick. Gene was a member of Landmark Masonic Lodge #51 in Boiestown, the Shriners and the Royal Canadian Legion.

Gene is survived by his children, Denise of BC, Barbara of BC and George of Alberta; grandchildren, Randina, Grandin, Tenilla; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, Gene was predeceased by his sisters, Irene, Edith, Vesta, Merna, Genevra, and Midge; brothers, Ralph, Ivan, Vimy, Alvin and Adrian.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home. At Gene’s request, there will be no public services. A Private Interment will take place in New Bandon United Cemetery, at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
