Obituary of Darrell Keith Staples

The passing of Darrell Keith Staples of Fredericton, NB, husband of Clythie  Sharron  (Williams) Staples, RN, occurred on Friday, August 2, 2024 at home. Born on October 5, 1940 in Fredericton, NB, he was a Na’sis Boy, son of the late Percy Goodrich Staples and Eliza Jane (Hildebrand) Staples, RN. Darrell worked as a pharmacist for 44 years. He loved camping, bicycling and shuffle board.

Besides his loving wife of almost 60 years, Darrell is survived by his daughter, Janice Lynn (Staples) Cammack (Michael) of Quispamsis, NB and her daughters, Baily Lynn and Emma Clythie; son, Steven Darrell Staples of Toronto, ON and his children, Desmond James and Annelise Rhona and their mother, Caroline Hyslop; one great grandchild, Carter Michael; sister, Darlene Dawn Ebbett (late Stanley) of Fredericton, NB and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 1 - 3pm followed by a Memorial Service at 3pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating. Reception to follow the service. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
