Getting ready for this, Finnie, I came across two songs that I hope to share today with the band of people who gather behind the United Church.
Fire and Rain - James Taylor
One Day at a Time - Joe Walsh

I was saddened to hear of the passing of my good friend Peter Finnegan. We grew up in Marysville although I was from Barker point originally I grew up in Marysville from the age of 22 months and on. We all went to school together at the Alexander Gibson Memorial school, and when I lived at 457 Canada Street we used to walk down to Finnegan‘s canteen or Finnegan store where his mother used to run the store. Lost touch with him over the years, but came in contact with him once again a few years ago. He was a nice guy , and was always very friendly toward myself and anyone he met. I pray all those who were affected and who were sensing a loss right now because Peter is no longer with us. I pray the Lord will surround you with his love and his mercy you and give you his peace and strength at this difficult time. Rest in peace my friend you will be missed.
Peter Edward Finnegan.

I knew Peter since preschool and played together every day growing up Peter had a huge selection of Tonka toys and the neighbourhood kids would come over and play in the huge sand box. Later in age we switched over to horse shoes and had line ups to play. Everyone used to go to the family store Peter’s Canteen. Some great memories for sure. I moved away in 1989 and lost touch with Peter and I was saddened to hear that Peter had passed away., Rest in Peace my friend.
