Obituary of Jill Beverley Mesman

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024 Jill Beverley Mesman of Fredericton, NB, wife of Martin Peter Mesman, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on June 27, 1942 in Middlesex, Hounslow, England, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Grace Victoria (Hodges) Kelly. Jill was a Homemaker, worked as a Secretary for Martin’s Trucking (Labrador West) and was a member of the Nashwaaksis Lionettes. She truly loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jill is survived by her children, Jerry Mesman (Maisie) of  Fredericton, Karen Bruce (Jerry) of Pasadena, Lorraine Mitchell (Charles) of Humber Valley, Christopher Mesman (Betty) of Vancouver, Heather Brideau (Augustine) of Durham Bridge; sister-in-law, Sue Kelly of Fredericton; 10 grandchildren, Clinton, Lisa, Nicholas, Natasha, Alexander, Fiona, Jessica, Kyle, Troy and Devon; great grandchildren, Emery, Maddyn, Stuart, Jane and Penelope; special mention to the Mesman and Turnbull families, Rose Bullock, Shelley Mesman, Ashley Thomson and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son, Martin “Chubb” Mesman; brother, Keith Kelly; sister, Valerie Kelly.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the DECRH Emergency Room and 4SE Nurses, Doctors and staff. We greatly appreciate the care and compassion provided to Mom and our family.

The Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12pm with reception following the service. Register to view the live webcast at the top of the obituary. Interment will take place in Upper Durham Memorial Cemetery, Durham Bridge at a later date.
