Obituary of Joan Hazel Brewer

The passing of Joan Hazel Brewer of Fredericton, NB, wife of Paul Brewer, occurred on May 2, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on September 1, 1948 in Fredericton, NB,  she was the daughter of the late Zella (Anderson) Anderson  and the late Osborne Anderson.

Joan worked as an Administrative Assistant for NB Power and at Sears after retirement.  Joan has been involved in many areas at the Kingsley Baptist Church. She enjoyed having an active role in raising her grandchildren, along with cooking for her family and watching her cooking shows.

Joan is survived by daughter Rebecca Brewer (Chris Fowler);  grandchildren, Isabelle Brewer, Randy Babin, Trenton Anderson  and Chris' children, Cruz Fowler and Taci Fowler; siblings, Glenwood Anderson (Karen) and Myles Anderson (Carol); nieces and nephews, Nick Anderson (Eileen), Heidi O'Connell (Tom),  Jeff Anderson (Darla) and Greg Anderson (Sandy); great nieces and nephews, Adam, Cora, Ivy, June and Zach; sisters in law, Carolyn Brewer and Kathleen Brewer; brothers in law, Goolie Brewer (Gail) and Perley Brewer (Patricia); nieces and nephews, Neil Brewer (Natasha), Garth Brewer (Melanie), Dr. Kim Brewer-Rioux (Dr. James Rioux) and Andrew Brewer (Patricia), and their families.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  The Memorial Service will take place at the Kingsley Baptist Church, 35 Kingsley Road, Estey's Bridge, NB on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2 pm with Pastor Steven Teed officiating.  Interment will take place in the Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
