Aww, Bill... where to begin... I am deeply saddened to hear of your passing. We had a great number of years together! There are many, many things today that I am still laughing over. The boating trips, the time at the annual Lodge Party, I went looking for you, hilarious!! The story Dad told us about ‘Froooots’. We laughed at that for years!
All the walks together around Millbrook, day trips to Sussex for their annual Flea Market, playing Crib, 10,000’s, Rummoli, (I never could remember that 10 of Spades!) and Backgammon. There was many a laugh in every game! The organization of your hockey pools and getting them up online. I still remember, I entered one year and led the pool each and every week, ending up in first place!
Then we took in Ferrets, who we dubbed as the ‘Fab Four’, many pictures, cuddles and laughs with them. The girls, Ambi & Dai Mai took to Bill and the boys, Jader & Nikks took to me. We gave them the best life ever!
I will miss you greatly, I will never forget all those great times, until we all meet again, RIP. <Hugs>

Billy, how many times did you ever make me laugh when I worked in Day Surgery with all your stories, your jokes, your trips to see your Boston Bruins. So sad to hear of your passing. I know you are going to make so many laugh in heaven with your magnetic sense of humour. Watch over your family and friends. We will miss you❤️

I was surprised to hear of the passing of Bill Boies. I remember him well, as we all went to the Alexander Gibson Memorial School in our younger days. He was a nice guy, and of course, we were all young kids. I remember well, when we were young, and I am saddened that as we grew older we lost track because our lives got busier. I would like at this time to extend my sincerest Condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the surviving members of his family, and I pray that the consolation, love, and strengthening of the hand of almighty God will be with each, and eve y member of his family, and with all who knew him, and were made better as the result of his presence among us.

Dearest Boies family,
My heart is broken to hear about Billy’s passing. We were great friends growing up and I have such fond memories of him all through our school years. When my Dad was sick we spent a few hours in the hospital together chatting and he was such a great source of comfort to me, I have always cherished that time and will always cherish my memories of him. Rest in peace my friend - until we meet again.

Bill was always kind and smiling when we chatted in the halls or locker room. And he was funny. He was one of those rare people you liked 5 seconds after meeting him. He made a busy, stressful place like the hospital a better place. He put you at ease, and you were glad you shared a minute or two with him.
Rest easy, Bill.

My sincere condolences to you all as you mourn the loss of an amazing Son, Brother, Uncle and friend to many. I had the pleasure of working with Bill in the OR. I refer to Bill as the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time). Bill’s work ethic and compassion for his patients never faltered. Even in the days when we noticed Bill not feeling well he never slacked off and always gave it his all. I enjoyed our chats, laughs and quiet conversations. Boy, could Bill make us chuckle! I will never forget all of our Bill moments and quotes. May you rest in peace Bill. You will be missed by many.
You were certainly one “Superfantastic” guy.
Sincerely

Billy was a champion of great care at the DECH OR. As the Educator in the OR, I would lean on Billy to help me train new ORAs to work as part of our surgical teams. Billy was a good, hardworking , knowledgeable ORA that I depended on very much. He was the model of “how to be a great ORA”. Thank you Billy, for working with me, and helping me train each new generation of ORAs. I miss you.
