So sorry to hear of Danny's passing. We have great memories of Danny at the body shop in Saint John - I dealt with him on a regular basis and being a fellow insurance appraiser, I know well the problems that can be faced in dealing with the public but through it all, Danny forged ahead always smiling. Denise, my wife, did bookkeeping for both Danny and his dad, Clayton. We have nothing but fond memories of Danny and Clayton. Now they are together again! Rest in Peace Danny. You fought the good fight! Condolences and prayers to Danny's family. Sorry we were unable to attend Danny's celebration of life but our thoughts and prayers are with you today and always. Lovingly, Donnie and Denise Baker!!

Judy and Family...
We are terribly saddened to hear of Dan's passing. Being a neighbor and on behalf of the Neighbors, Dan will be missed , seeing him walk by with the dogs once if not twice a day was his routine. During these times, if you were lucky, you'd get to stop and chat with him for a bit, as he was on a mission. His sense of humor (..at times dry..) is the outmost best, we could throw a line at Dan and get it back, twice as hard at times with a dry look on his face , although always out of respect for one another... the sarcasm, the gleam in his eyes, the willingness to help anytime you needed it and the Maple Leaf games in the garage. Just being around him was amazing. It is heartbreaking for us as neighbors and as for the neighborhood, knowing your lost and that we are here for you, as Dan was with us - as the saying goes " Love thy Neighbor " Dan is that neighbor - Loved and always will be...
From Davis St to Eatman Ave.

It seems like yesterday when Danny starred at State Farm and moved to Fredericton to work out of the local office. He was always a very hard and dedicated employee who needed very little day to supervision he just got the job done with true professionalism. He was always willing to do what was needed working on several hail storms in Canada. I will always remember our breakfast meetings at the Diplomat restaurant in Fredericton. It was tradition that he would order steak and eggs, no beans although they aways came on the plate much to his displeasure but all good someone wanted them! Danny put many miles on traveling the province in his many mobile office vans. I will always remember his laugh and that glint in his eye that needed no words to understand what he was thinking. There are other fun stories but they will remain with the people who know them. I am glad you got to retire and enjoy time with your family and while we all wish you were still here, I know you are looking down with a smile and your trade mark look.

I was so very sorry to hear of Danny’s very untimely passing. I met Danny through his father over 50 years ago. A wonderful young man then, and probably the best kind of son a father could have. Danny was a caring and thoughtful family man. He will be missed by all who knew him

So saddened to hear of Danny's passing. I've known Danny for many years and he would never miss a gathering of the old boys at my camp. When he lived in Hammond River he threw a stag party for me where he and the crew gave me a good tar and feathering (if I remember correctly it was corn syrup and oats!!) What are friends for eh!! We had a lot of good laughs together and I will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences to his entire family.

Dear Shelly and Scott, sending deepest sympathy to you and your families on the death of your dad. We haven’t seen Danny in many years but we do remember your kind funny dad from when we all hung out at Chris and Tom’s when you guys were just little kids. We had a memorable day at Grand Lake with you all too - all more than 30 years ago.
Thinking of you both and your families as you celebrate your dad’s life and remember his love.

We are so very sorry to hear of Danny's passing. To all members of Danny's family, we extend our most sincere condolences. I (Sue) have known Danny since I was a teenager. He always made me laugh and I loved his wit...and his off colour comments.
The Byers & Daye families have a special bond....although time may lapse between visits or seeing one another, we could always pick up where we left off. May you rest in peace, entertain those who you join, and rest easy that you left us all better for knowing you.

I will always treasure our yearly State Farm meetings in Pickering/Aurora with the New Brunswick crew (Danny and Joe Lane). Since most of us were from out of town, we would have rooms close by and a chance to hang out and have some drinks(a lot) and some laughs(a lot as well). Condolences to Scott and to the family. I will never forget you my friend. May you RIP.

Sincere condolences to Danny's family for their loss. It's very hard to loose someone near and dear to you. I remember meeting Danny for the first time about 27 years ago. He was such a fun loving, off the cuff, take it the way it was kinda guy. You couldn't help but love his smile and swagger. Fond memories were forged as well as a lasting friendship. The thoughts of him have brought a smile to my face for many years and those memories will bring many more smiles as time goes on.
Cheers to Danny, thanks for sharing a piece of your time with me.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Danny! He was a great man. His obituary is beautifully written. I remember getting scolded by him often for leaving the toilet cover up. He would say “ I always know when Karen is here cause the toilet cover is up”. Thank you Scott, for failing to tell me that secret.
Sending love and hugs to all of his family.

My prayers and thoughts to the family at this time. Danny and I go way back to the birch grove clan, I will cherish the fond memories we shared growing up, playing pond hockey between our homes of the Marr road, many nights hearing a snowmobile going by the house on the power line and look out to see Danny. Summer memories of Danny visiting on his mini bike. In later year coaching our boys in hockey, he was a great family man and will be missed.
