Obituary of Gerald William Barlow

The passing of Gerald William Barlow of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Sheila (Paul) Barlow, occurred on March 12, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on July 21, 1943 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Alec and Ruby (Paul) Barlow.  Gerald worked as a Painting Contractor for St. Mary’s First Nation. Gerald loved dogs, especially his long time companion, Sheiva who died last October.

 

Gerald is survived by his children, Nelson Barlow (Bonnie), Arlene Brooks (Randy) and Kirk Barlow; grandson, Ernest Brooks (Jessica Clark); granddaughter, Ambyr Bartlett (Adam Landry); grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughters, Rowena Sharpe and Jeannie Brooks; infant brother, Anthony.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 11am. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to Hospice Fredericton. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
