Obituary of Everett England
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Everett England announce his peaceful passing at Hospice House on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, surrounded by family, after a 4-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Everett was born in Tabusintac, NB on July 21, 1951. He was the son of the late Arnott and Muriel (Cove) England.
Everett is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Griffiths); daughter, Kari MacDougall; grandsons Logan and Carter MacDougall; his siblings, Wendell England, Mildred Blunston, Heather England, Irene England and Angela Forbes; and his many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Everett was predeceased by his parents; infant brother; brother-in-law, Bill Blunston; father and mother-in-law, Irvine and Nina Griffiths; and sister-in-law, Kathy Blaxland.
Everett enjoyed his childhood growing up in Tabusintac and especially hunting and fishing with his father. He loved his 30-year career with NBTel as a linesman and made many lifelong friends. Everett had many accomplishments including building the family home, the camp on the Nashwaak, woodworking, and writing his memoirs.
Everett and Nancy were fortunate to have been able to travel together and cruising was his favorite way to travel. If asked where his favorite destination was, he was quick to say trips in Canada -specifically Newfoundland and the Rocky Mountains.
Everett loved his time at the camp, sitting on the deck watching the water flow by, enjoying the tunes and the excellent company who dropped in to share a beverage with him. He enjoyed the times fishing on the Restigouche with great friends, 4-wheeling and the annual November hunt at the camp with his good buddies.
Heartfelt gratitude goes to Hospice, the staff at Extra Mural and his friends and neighbours who were always available to help out when needed
Resting at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1-3 pm. Interment will take place at the Seymour Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
