Obituary of Marlene Elizabeth Carten

The passing of Marlene Elizabeth Carten of Royal Road, NB, wife of the late Ernest Carten, occurred on February 23, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on June 22, 1943 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Randolph and Elva (Marks) Firth. She enjoyed painting, spending time with her family and her cats.

Marlene is survived by her daughters, Barbara Fullarton (Tom), Tammy Carten (Tony), Laura Beddow (Harry), Lisa Carten (Donnie) and Elva Armstrong (Philip); sons, Ernie Carten (Sandra) and Mark Carten all of Fredericton, NB; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special nephew, Randy Firth; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralphie Firth, George Firth and Darrell Firth.
