Obituary of Adam James Carter

The passing of Adam James Carter of Hanwell, NB, husband of Edwina MacBean, occurred on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  Born on August 22, 1962 in Fredericton Junction, NB, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Mathilda (Lizotte) Carter.

 

Adam, lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed working and getting his hands dirty. From painting cars to being a welder, to being a mechanic, and having the ability to rebuild anything put in front of him. He was known to most as the “jack of all trades”.

In Adam’s spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family at the lake, taking photos, and riding motorcycles. He could be found tinkering in the yard on various projects, and always there to lend a hand when anyone needed help. Also, a strong supporter to maritime independent wrestling, as a former professional wrestler, most recent years supported as being a part of the security team. 

In addition to his wife, Edwina MacBean, Adam is survived by his children, Rob Sharpe (Katie), Brad Carter and Bailey Carter; grandchildren, Max Carter, Mackie Carter, Stella Sharpe and Owen Sharpe; siblings, Donald Carter (Bertha), Donna Davenport (Ricky), Brenda Dube (Robert), Roy Carter and James Carter (Renne); and several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his parents, Adam was predeceased by his siblings, Marie Carter, Ronald Carter and Virginia Gervais; and sister-in-law, Wendy Carter.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 6-8 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Interment will take place at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
