Obituary of Eddy Floyd Reid

With heavy hearts, the family of Eddy “Ed” Floyd Reid, husband of Judy (Babin) Reid of Killarney Road, NB, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on June 11, 1951 in Holtville, NB, he was the son of the late Pete and Izella (Calhoun) Reid. Ed was a long-haul mover for 30+ years with Hoyt’s Moving and Storage. He took great pride in his work. After retirement he enjoyed golf, cross country skiing and loved looking after his family including the fur babies, Daisy, Lily and Boy (aka Tigger).

 

In addition to his loving wife, Ed is survived by his daughter, Chelsea MacDougall (Allan); sisters, Mary Jane Myck (Kevin), Ruth Reid (Chris); brother, Billy Reid (Brenda); nieces and nephews, Chris, Maggie, Marlee, Braedyn, Jessica, Randy, Bradley, Kristen, Dusty.

 

Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Beth Reid; brother; Hale Reid; nephew, Jason Blinco.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. Although there will be no public services at this time, interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville, NB, at a later date.
