I have many fond memories of "sleepover shenanigans" with Joanne in our younger years at her childhood home on Epworth Circle. Paul & Joan always welcomed me as one of their own, even if I was a Canadiens fan. Poor Steve was often displaced from the T.V. room so that Jo and I could have our "girl time", watching favourite VHS tapes and giggling our way through old yearbooks. I can only picture Joan in my mind now with her brilliant, contagious smile. She always radiated joy, warmth and openness wherever I encountered her, whether on Epworth, a random meeting in the community, or at St. Theresa's. Joan's beautiful qualities deeply touched so many in a very special way, most especially her children and grandkids. I have the pleasure of continuing to experience them in my friendship with Jo. I am grateful for having known you, Joan (and you too Paul, but "Go, Habs!"); you are an amazing woman. I know you are resting peacefully now. Keep me in your prayers, and please remind Paul that Jo and I are truly trying to be a little less mischievous these days ❤️

to Joan’s family, she was just a wonderful person. it seems just a short time ago that we use to meet with two or three other couples at Tim’s on Main Street, we had so much in common coming from Carleton County and going to CRHS as we shared memories. cherish your past good times in the coming days. Rob, Stephen and Joanne,
So sad to hear that your Mom has passed. She was a great lady and I got to know her really well when her bridge group joined ours. We certainly learned a lot from her as she knew that game inside out! Her kindness and smile will be with us always. Sincerely, Anita (Gerry) White

Joan and I had been friends for 70 years. We were in grade school together. We were in Teachers College together. She tried to teach me to play bridge-and failed. One memory that will always bring a smile to my face was perhaps the first time we got together in Fredericton as married women. I was visiting their house on Epworth Circle, and she told me with great glee, that the first piece of furniture she and Paul bought together was a stereo. Her mother was horrified at their priorities.
However, she contended that music was an important priority. Rest in peace, Joan. I will miss you.
