The passing of Edmond Joseph Lagacy of Fredericton, NB, husband of Barb Lagacy (Hawkins), occurred on January 12, 2024 at the Dr, Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 5, 1939 in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Francis and Hilda (Watson) Lagacy. 

 

Ed is survived by his son, Brian Lagacy (Carla) of Fredericton; step-children, Elaine Lovell (Clint) of Calgary and Brad Haines of Moncton; sister, Lillian Lavigne (Ed) of Bathurst, brother, Norman Lagacy (Gisele) of Athens, Ontario; grandchildren, Kelly (Shane), Dexter (Samantha), Derrick (Elysse), Jeremy, Nathan, Ayla, Khol, Bentlee, Brayden, and Chase; great grandchildren Lily and Levi; sister-in-law Rita Lagacy. He was predeceased by his brothers, Laurence and Cletis Lagacy; sisters, Doris Hatfield and Adrien Lavigne; grandchild Kayden.

 

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday January 17, 2024 from 1 to 2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm with Rev Debbie Edmondson officiating. The service will also be available to livestream, at www.yorkfh.com (Link at top of the obituary). For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
