Arthur Allison Carr

1951-2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Arthur Allison Carr, loving husband and best friend of Debbie (Rosborough) Carr of Douglas, at his home with his wife by his side on January 7, 2023. Born on October 23, 1951 in Fredericton Junction, NB, he was the son of the late Rued and Eva (Mowry) Carr and chosen son of the late Clarissa and Stanley Carr.

He loved to spend time in nature, especially at the camp, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his ATV and in winter he enjoyed snowmobiling. He also enjoyed his motorcycles over the years and most recently in his convertible. In his younger years enjoyed playing hockey and ball (inducted into the Oromocto Sports Hall of Fame for softball). Art had a great sense of humour and will be remembered for his love of silly pranks and jokes.

In addition to his wife Deb, Art will continue to be in the hearts of his children Mark (Angie) of Geary, Sarah (Jonathan) Bragdon, Fredericton and Scott (Sara) Morehouse, Durham Bridge; grandchildren Bailey, Aidan, Maria, William and Brooke; his beloved furbaby “Buddy”; sisters Bonnie Harnish (Bobby), Heather Boone (Ian) and Lorraine Ball (Linden); brother Darrell Carr (Dolores); and Sister-in-law Linda Carr; Brother-in-laws Fred (Cindy) Rosborough and Floyd (Sharon) Rosborough, as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and special friends.

Art was predeceased by his brothers Ronald and Laurie Carr, special cousin Wayne (late Marie) Carr and several special aunts and uncles.

A special thank you to his Extra Mural staff, Stephanie, Rhea and Katie as well as the doctors of Palliative Care and Dr. Woods for their kindness showed to him over the last few months. We are forever grateful.

As per Art’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke, the Lung Association or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
