Obituary of Kenneth Michael Englehart

Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The passing of Kenneth “Kenny” Englehart of Fredericton, NB, occurred on January 1, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on January 16, 1969 in Charlottetown, PE, he was the son of Maurice and Joan (Batchilder) Englehart.

Kenny is survived by his partner, Vicki Parker; daughters, Abby Englehart (Alex Grant) and Emma Andrews (Ben Andrews); son, Christian Englehart; brother, Kevin Englehart (Janet); sisters, Karen Campbell (Andrew) and Kim Englehart; grandchildren, Eva Rae, Nora, Jack and Blake; nieces and nephews.

Kenny worked at UNB as a Classroom Support Tech Lead in the department Centre for Enhanced Teaching and Learning for 17 years. Kenny loved the simple things in life, there was nothing more fulfilling to him than sitting outside around a fire with a beautiful ambience, surrounded by people he loves. He loved nature and getting on the four wheeler to find a beautiful view and lots of mud. He appreciated a good conversation anywhere he could find one and he was someone you could get lost in deep conversation with for hours. You knew Kenny and Vicki's door was always open and welcome to anyone - he enjoyed his house being filled with people laughing and having a good time. The one thing Kenny loved the most in his life was his family, he was the most selfless, loving, and caring father and bumpy. He was at his happiest anytime his family was around and took so much pride in being a father and grandfather. His loved ones' happiness was so important to him. He impacted so many people as he was the most down to earth and kind person you could ever meet; he will be deeply missed.

We would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors and nurses at the DECRH for the wonderful care they provided Kenny in his last moments and for having so much empathy towards our situation.

A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will be held at a later date, time and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
