Obituary of Brenda Joyce Sowers

SOWERS, BRENDA JOYCE (MERRITT)

With great sadness we announce the passing of Brenda Joyce (Merritt) Sowers, wife of William (Bill) Sowers, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Joyce (Donovan) Merritt.

In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her children, Jason Brewer (Jennifer Thorne), Trudy Robichaud (Ron), Jeremy Sowers (Kristen) and Cindy Sowers; grandchildren, Matthew, Josh, Jacob, Allyson, Jeremy, Joshua, Janessa, Alex, Kyle, Becca, Dylan, Heidi, Jayden, Gemma, Royce and Liam; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Kenneth) and Debbie Martin (Brian).

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Jody Brewer; grandson, Andrew Sowers; sister, Linda McKay; brothers in-law, Robert (Bobby) Martin, Robert Quinn and Sam McKay.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 1-3pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 3pm with Pastor Dan Foreman and Pastor Graham Crandall officiating.
