Obituary of Neola Ruth Lyons

The passing of Neola Ruth (Munn) Lyons of Taxis River, NB, wife of the late Reginald Lyons, occurred on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at her son David’s Home, in Zealand, NB.  Born on October 11, 1935 in Hayesville, NB,  she was the daughter of the late Herman and Christine (Lovelace) Munn. Neola enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles and going shopping. She had a big heart full of love and kept everyone around her very happy at all times. She loved her church family, but her specialty was loving her grandchildren.

Neola is survived by her sons, David Lyons (Debbie) of Zealand, NB, Raymond Lyons of Fredericton, NB, Jerry Lyons of Taxis River, NB, Byron Lyons of Carrolls Crossing, NB; daughter, Nancy Ward (Bobby) of Williamsburg, NB; chosen daughters, Elaine Lyons (Everett) of Carrolls Crossing, NB and Lois Munn (Jimmy) of Holtville, NB; special granddaughter, Lindsey Briggs (Brandon) of Noonan, NB; 13 additional grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie Munn (Vonnie) of Hayesville, NB, Vincent Munn (Margaret) of Parker Ridge, NB, Herb Munn (Paulette) of Bloomfield, NB, Allen Munn (Elizabeth) of Hayesville, NB; sisters, Gracie Munn of Taxis River, NB, Queenie Hanson of Fredericton, NB; daughter-in-law, Edith Lyons of Zealand, NB and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Neola is predeceased by her son, Wilson Lyons; daughter, Erma Remington; brothers, Calvin Munn, Herman Munn, Milton Munn and Johnny Munn and one infant son.

Visitation will take place at the Miramichi First Pentecostal Church, 376 Holtville Road, Holtville, NB on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. The funeral will be held from the Miramichi First Pentecostal Church on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2pm with Rev. Landon Decker officiating. Interment will take place in Parker Ridge Cemetery, Parker Ridge, NB at a later date. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, because of an allergy, for those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Miramichi First Pentecostal Church. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
