The passing of Kelly Lee Fraser of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 5, 1962 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Shirley (Graham) Fraser. Besides her parents, Kelly is predeceased by her sister, Karen Komulanian.

Kelly is survived by her best friend and caregiver, Debbie Lyons and her daughter, Heather Lyons; chosen family, Lyle and Shirley Smith, Mike Smith, Mitch Smith, Tim Smith and their families; step-mother, Joanne Fraser and her family; aunt, “Sissy” and many cousins.

Kelly was a Civil Engineer for over 30 years, specializing in roads and bridges for the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, she adored her career and work family, almost as much as they adored her. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Kelly knew that she loved the ocean, she especially cherished visits to Old Orchard Beach, ME and Greenwich Beach, PEI. She loved to go to Tim Hortons almost every night to sit and enjoy her coffee and “alone time.” She enjoyed sitting on the patio at Cannon’s Cross Pub every Saturday afternoon in the summertime. Kelly had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh with all of her friends. She was a lover of sports and was a very good softball player, she also enjoyed volley ball and golfing.

Kelly’s family would like give a special thank you to the many doctors and nursing staff, ER and extra mural, especially the staff of 4SW for their excellent care during her illness. They would also like to thank the many special friends and colleagues that loved her.
