Obituary of Joan Gail Curley

Joan Gail Curley, a resident of Doaktown, NB, and beloved wife of the late Harold William Curley Sr, passed away on November 24, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on December 16, 1939, in Doaktown, NB, Joan was the daughter or the late Mildred and Sanford Clowater.

 

A devote mother and wife, Joan provided her family with a comfortable home, well known for her cooking and especially her donuts.  A natural green thumb, she loved working in their greenhouse as well as feeding the deer and animals that showed up each year.  Joan was also a member of the Doaktown Roman Catholic Church.

 

Joan is survived by her daughter, Lana Forbes (Ross); son, Harold Curley Jr. (Shirley); siblings, Merville Clowater (Sharon), Donna Ward (Raymond), Jimmy Clowater (Wilma), Harley Clowater, Arden Clowater, Kim Wiebe (Lance); grandchildren, Lindsay Forbes, Rachel (Phillip) and their son James, Sarah Curley, Samuel Curley and along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Joan was predeceased by her sister, Paulette Clowater; grandson, Matthew Forbes.
