Obituary of Hazel Isobell Cole

The passing of Hazel Isobell Cole of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Charles Herbert Cole (2008), occurred on November 20, 2023, at York Care Centre.  Born on July 4, 1927, in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alice Hazel (Murray) and Harry R. Briggs. Hazel was a member of the St. Theresa's Church and a charter member of the Catholic Women's League. Hazel enjoyed knitting, cooking, and traveling especially to Florida in the winters, she especially loved spending time with her family.

Hazel is survived by her son, Peter Stephen Cole (Brenda Culliton) of Fredericton, NB; three grandsons, Derek, Devon, and Brogan Cole all of Fredericton, NB and special cousin, Fred McFawn of Hamilton, ON. In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was predeceased by her son, Robert Charles Cole (2013); daughter, Bonita Alice (1950); infant baby brother (1939).

Although there will be no visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 1 William Street, Fredericton on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at  11 am. Interment will follow in Hermitage Cemetery, Fredericton. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
