I spoke briefly last summer with Frank at an event where he performed. I was commenting on how well his singing voice was still representing him', I am glad I took that minute to tell him .

Rest peacefully Uncle Frank. I will cherish the memories of you. I take comfort in knowing I will see you again someday. Sing with the angels.

On behalf of the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival organization, let me offer my deepest condolences to the Davis family. I know the joy that Frank took from performing and I remember his many appearances in the early days of the festival. He was a mainstay performer and, even better, a nicer man one could hardly meet. He will be remembered with great affection for many years to come by the musical community of Fredericton,

I met Frank a few years ago....
Over the years, I found him to be extrordinarily humble, kind and spiritual. He was true to his faith and shared it tastefully. He loved all good music, for which he was an outstanding contributor. His legacy lives on in his compositions...
I know you are still singing, Frank... now with the angels in heaven...

I am very saddened to read of the passing of “Franky” as Brian Lean would call him. When I read the beautiful messages by everyone, it lifts our spirits of the gifts Franky had and passed onto others. He and Bri spent fun times at Speedbumps matinees on stage… they are both on the best and largest stage ever! Love and prayers to your families. Louanne

I have so many amazing memories of dad. He was 55 when I was born but that didn’t stop him for a second from playing outside with me and my sister Mikayla, or going all out for our birthdays. I got 20 years with him that I’ll eternally be grateful for. I miss his smile, his infectious laugh, hearing all his stories from his earlier years, his hugs and kisses. Over the past few years we’ve been making new memories with dad, going to the movies, going out to eat, hearing him sing and going for drives. He was the best dad❤️
My heart is happy knowing how well loved and respected he was all around Fredericton. He loved this city and the people in it.
I’m grateful to him for showing me to love music and lyrics because now I can feel him through songs.
I’ll miss you forever dad, I love you so so much❤️

We last met at a social event downtown where we chatted about the current state of New Brunswick music and he promised to connect me to some artist friends of his. Unfortunately, we never could make out the time to see that through. Boss Francis was always Frank and willing to help. He was a true gentleman and a legend in his own right. On behalf of the CivicTech team in Fredericton, we say Adieu to a true legend from Atlantic Canada. Rest in power sir! God bless your gentle soul. You will be surely missed. T-Rex Dah Wordsmith

My sincere condolences to his family. The news of his death saddens me. I've known Frank since 1974 when the late Bob Riley recruited him as singer for a blues band we youg lads were trying to put together at the time. Though that particular iteration of the band never got off the ground, I've stayed in touch with him over the years and never once was he anything but the warm, friendly, positive gentleman I knew back then. In 1991. I returned to Fredericton for the summer and wound up playing weekly as the Sweetwaters house band that Frank fronted as singer. We had an absolute blast together. Fond memories indeed. We crossed paths occasionally since then including at a boisterous house party during the Harvest festival in 2007 where I took this picture. The smile says it all and it is how I will always remember him.

My dear Brother,
I am so sorry that we were so far apart. I am sure if I lived closer we would have got together and sang some tunes and even co write some songs. I remember growing up together when we were living in Halifax on Gerrish St. (Now called Buddy Daye Ave)
Frank was someone I looked up to. He was my big Brother and hoped I could be like him. He was really involved with sports and played several sports. I went to watch him on many occasions. I can thank him for love of the Chicago Bears,as he played minor football for the Bears. However in hockey we were opposite ,I like Toronto and he liked Montreal. We used to play street hockey , ,pretending we were the Leafs or Canadiens,or sometimes he was Russia and I was Canada. That's how i really remember Frank the best.Over the years we drifted apart. Frank joined the Army, while i was still a foster kid. Eventually we both got married and had families. I never did get to see Frank much. He lived here for awhile in Halifax, but eventually move back to Fredericton . That's where his family was and he was more comfortable living there. When he was younger he didn't seem to have any interest in music. But coming from a very Musical family ,it was just a matter of time that he found his love of music, He was a good song writer, good enough to win a song writing contest for CBC. He was invited here to record his songs, I think he may have got his writing skills from our Mother ,Audrey who used to write songs. It's to bad Frank didn't play an instrument,or else he may have done even better as a songwriter. My Brother I hope you are in a good place and hoping you see some of the loved ones who are already there with you. Say hello to the Humbys who took in both us and provided a home and love ,basically with no support from our own family. See you again Brother and this time distance will not keep us apart . I first met Frank at the Club Krome singing Keroke. He was always so friendly . I met him again at Grimross Brewery doing what he loved best singing at open Mic. He was a real talent and gave everything
he had into his performance and it showed . On the night he collapsed at the Club I was on stage putting in my song selection. He finished his song and walked towards me. I put out my hand and said what a great job he did and he never responded. He fell into my arms and he never spoke another word,. Jason , the host , and the folks there did all they could to revive him. We were asked to leave when the paramedics arrived . I will miss him and very happy I got to know him. He was an awsome vocalist but more than that a great human being .My Condolences. Murray Sheils

My sincere condolences to Frank’s Famiy and Friends. I met Frank almost 70 years ago. We played together as children and attended the same schools. Although we lost track of each other in later years, we found each other again on recently on Facebook. Our favourite subject was music and performing. RIP

Frank - you were an amazing person and so generous with your unbelievable talents. The song you wrote in memory of my niece is such a tribute to her and the family. It is in my documentary Vulnerable Innocence, a film you were so proud to be included. Your music will live on in the film. Blessings to you and your family. I will miss you terribly. Our exchanges on social media meant a lot to me. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I met Frank in 1978 and have been good friends ever since. Being a musician myself we shared the same passion for music. I was a young guitarist who wanted to play blues and rock 'n' roll, and he was into country music, but we could always find a common ground in music...and in life too. God bless you and keep you old friend.
