In sadness, the family of Deborah “Debbie” Lorraine Durelle of Fredericton, NB, announce her passing on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Shannex- Neill Hall in Fredericton, NB.  Born on March 7, 1956 in Collingwood, ON, she was the daughter of Mona (MacPhail) Wilson and the late Alan Wilson.  Debbie worked for call centers RMH, Connect North America and Atelka, as well as the Sylvan Learning Center. In high school she was a cheerleading captain. She was involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters as a Big Sister, sang at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church as part of the Folk Group. Debbie was a social butterfly, loved to travel, especially in PEI, sunbathing with wine by any body of water but most of all she loved her family.

 

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Durelle (Paul) of Fredericton and Rachael Brown (Travis) of Burton; grandchildren, Riley George Durelle-Schmidt, Arya Aspen Mead, Austin Brown, Stephen Alan Brown, Emily Rose Brown; brothers, Ron Wilson (Heather), Philip Wilson (Janet); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon McLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Debbie’s family would like to thank the staff of Shannex-Neill Hall for the excellent care and compassion they have shown Debbie and the family during her stay. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
