Evelyn Cassie Roden of Fredericton, NB, passed away on November 9, 2023, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Irvine Eugene Roden. Evelyn was born on May 21, 1933, in Zealand, N.B. she was the daughter of the late Edna Brewer and Elwood Crouse. Evelyn dedicated many years as a Seamstress at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital before retiring. Her talents extended beyond her profession, as she found joy in sewing, knitting, crafting, and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling.

In addition to her loving husband Irvine, Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Susan Pulfer (Gerry), and her son, Terry Grant. Also by her sisters, Audrey Farago and Vivian Burtt; along with several grandchildren, step-children, nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her sons,  Ivan Grant and James 'Flub' Grant. Also by sisters, Mina Hayward, Margretta Brewer, and brother, Robert Crouse.

Evelyn will be laid to rest at Zealand Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fredericton SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences can be shared at www.yorkfh.com.
