Obituary of Joseph Donald Comeau

The passing of Joseph Donald Comeau of Fredericton, NB, husband of Sharon Anne Comeau, occurred on October 18, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on November 22, 1945 in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Mary Emmeline (Forbes) Comeau and the late Joseph Alexander Comeau. 

Don is survived by son Randy Comeau (Michelle Beattie) of Fredericton, grandson René Comeau, and granddaughter Danielle Comeau.

Don worked for the Department of National Defense from 1963 - 1977 and as an Engineering Technician for the New Brunswick Department of Environment from 1981-2001. He was a member, and past president, of the Fredericton Motorcycle Club. From his retirement in 2001 he and his wife Sharon travelled North America logging well over 200,000 km on his motorcycle.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  The funeral will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date.
