The passing of Alveretta “Peggy” Hazel Kervin of Stanley, NB, occurred on Thursday October 12, 2023 at Nashwaak Villa in Stanley.  Born on June 21, 1941 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Agnes (Painter) Palmer.  

 

Peggy was a home-care worker who enjoyed reading, knitting, music, dancing and travelling.  She was happiest when her home was full of family and friends enjoying conversation, laughter and meals together.

 

She is survived by her children, Joseph Whyte of Kingsley, (children, Nicole, Carrie-Anne, Joey, David and Cynthia), Vince Whyte of Veteran, AB (children, Kevin, Jeff, Kim, Mike), Barb Kervin of Lincoln, (children, Victoria, Shannan), Valerie Kervin (John Cleveland) (children, Natasha, Denise), sister, Bessie Arbeau (Stephen) of Kingsley; sister-in-law, Betty Palmer of Stanley; numerous great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edison Palmer; two infant sisters, (Wilma-Lee and Linda); and step-father, Fred Richardson.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm.  A Graveside Service will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Stanley. Remembrances can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
