Daphne Helena (Taylor) MacLean, wife of Rev. Allison MacLean, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital,
She was born in
Besides Allison, her husband of 58 years, she is survived by her daughter, Anne MacLean, and her son, Bruce (Patti Easton) MacLean; their three children Janelle, Heidi and Joey; sisters Sylvia Matheson (Donald) and Sandra Richardson (Mark); sisters-in-law Velma Taylor and Eileen Heffel Taylor; along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her two brothers, Ian Willis Taylor and Joseph Donne Taylor; sister in-law Gloria Taylor.
Daphne was a graduate of Prince of Wales College and St. Dunstan’s University and taught at
Daphne’s family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and all the staff at the DECRH for their compassionate care of her during the past five months. (Ambulance, ER, 4SE, 3NE, Palliative Care in 3E) Also the Dialysis Teaching Clinic in
Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 30 at 3 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a Graveside service on Monday October 2, 2023 at People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown PEI, officiated by Rev. Kent Compton. Remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
