Obituary of Terry Marshall Smith

The passing of Terry Marshall Smith of Fredericton, NB, loving husband of Elizabeth "Anne" (Turnbull) Smith, occurred on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Grand Lake, NB. Born on May 29, 1946, in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Marshall "Smitty" and Alberta (Forbes) Smith.

In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by his sons, Todd Smith (Kelly) and Sean Smith (Mary Beth Pickel); grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Emily Underhill (Brendan), Marshall Smith and Christopher Smith; sister Donna Wheaton; brother, Dale Smith; several nieces and nephews, as well as his friend and companion Diane Roy. Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by his youngest son, Andrew Smith.

A career salesman and entrepreneur Terry enjoyed a successful career beginning with GWG, then as owner operator of Sports Experts and finished his career working with his brother at ADR Men’s wear before finally retiring from Moore’s clothing.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10 am with Pastor Chris Walker officiating. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Fredericton SPCA, Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or to the Fredericton Police Association.
