Obituary of James Earle Ellis

ELLIS, JAMES, "JIM" EARLE

The passing of James Earle Ellis of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Emerentienne "Amy" (Plourde) Ellis, occurred on August 25, 2023 at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on June 29, 1942 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Rogers) Ellis.  

Jim started his career with his father in construction and went on to owning and operating KV Driving School in the 80's and 90s.  He later worked at Bourques Industrial for a number of years until he retired.  He enjoyed going to Marrtown at his camp nestled in the woods, where he could do some hunting, snowmobiling and fishing with his buddies. We will all miss his Jolly ole' laugh and his stories.

Jim is survived by his children, William (Laura), Weston (Patsy), Wayne (Shannon); stepdaughter, Sylvia (Roy); aunt Olive (Pat) Acker; grand kids, PJ, Jonathan, Amanda, Samantha, Amanda, David, Sheldon, Nicolas, Richard and James as well as many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Jim was pre-deceased by stepdaughter Joanne Caissie.

A special thank you to all the staff at Hospice House in Fredericton for the compassionate care that was given to Jim and his family in the last couple months.
