Obituary of Linda Susan Munn

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda Susan (Hinchey) Munn went to rest in the arms of her Saviour on August 22, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family at her son’s home in Keswick Ridge, NB.

Born in Bloomfield, in 1950 to Andrew and Lucy (Munn) Hinchey, Linda was one of one of 13 children. She is survived by all of her siblings; Viola, Maude, Helen, Joyce, Patricia, Norma, Timmy, Nora, Kathy, Lily, Philip & Tanya.

Linda was a loving mother to Hardie (Julie), Dereck, Amanda (Steven) and Jamie, Nan to Jordon (Maddie), Jenna (Andrew), Layne & Jaylea and a very proud Great-Nan to baby Dereck.

In addition to her parents, Linda was pre-deceased by her son Derek. Although she missed him fiercely, she always loved to hear stories of his shenanigans.

As she did love to laugh, she was often found doing something silly just to make you giggle. Just ask to see some of her Snapchat videos her grandchildren have saved on their phones. From her funny little hair clips to the shows that made her laugh or a good old fashioned “dad joke”.

She had a very generous heart and loved to treat her grandkids or give something to someone in need. Even Cooper, the pup, knew Nan kept a box of treats just for him.

Linda’s love for her Saviour never wavered no matter what life sent her way and she is now in His Holy Presence.

“And now death has no sting

and life has no end

for I have been transformed

by the blood of the Lamb.”

Linda’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Extra Mural Palliative Care Program and Integrity home health services as they allowed us to honour her wishes of passing comfortably at home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Please join her family for visitation on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 11 am -12 pm at the Miramichi First Pentecostal Church, Holtville followed immediately by a Graveside Service at Cameron Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held following the service back at the Church. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Cameron Hill Cemetery
