Obituary of Kenneth Sterling MacDonald

The passing of Kenneth Sterling MacDonald of Fredericton, NB, husband of Faith (Mann) MacDonald, occurred on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Pine Grove Nursing Home.  Born on May 9, 1928 in Nine Mile River, NS, he was the son of the late Clyde and Nima MacDonald.  Ken will be fondly remembered as a kind and gentle man. He worked as a Barber at Dave's Barber shop in Nashwaaksis for 27 years. He enjoyed Railroad photography, and his photographs have been featured in several publications.

 

Besides his wife Faith, Ken is survived by his son, Tim MacDonald (Annette) of Moncton; granddaughters, Ali, Jill and Kate. Ken was predeceased by his brother, Roy MacDonald.

 

Ken's family would like to recognize the extraordinary care and compassion provided by the staff of Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.  Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Pine Grove Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
