JOHNSON, SANDRA ELIZABETH

The passing of Sandra Elizabeth Johnson of Fredericton, NB, occurred on August 14, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on April 3, 1944 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (White) Johnson. 

Sandra taught at various schools around the province and for the last 25 years of her career was in Chatham.

Sandra is survived by her sisters, Barbara Johnson of Fredericton, Evelyn Johnson of Prince George and Eleanor Knowles (Dennis) of Cambridge ON, brother-in-law Randy Shanks; nephews, Paul Kierstead and Tyler (Marinda) Shanks; niece, Angela Mooney; great nephews, Dayne, Raymond and Alex; great nieces, Sabrina,  Emma and Kara.  Besides her parents Sandra was predeceased by her sisters, Kathy Shanks and Gail and her husband Don Kierstead and infant sister, Angela.

Visitation will take place at Journey Church Fredericton, 131 Duncan Lane, Fredericton on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and followed by the Memorial Service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Janice Queale officiating.  Interment will take place in Olivet Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Journey Wesleyan Church or the Canadian Liver Foundation or donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
