The passing of William “Bill” Hoben of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Nerene (Wallace) Hoben, occurred on August 10, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on November 4, 1936 in Lincoln, NB, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mae (McFawn) Hoben. Bill worked in the Parts Department for Elm City Chrysler. He was a member of Journey Church, the Stockarders Program and Bus Ministry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding, spending time at Michael's camp, gardening and spending time in the outdoors.

 

Bill is survived by his daughter, Heather Hoben; son, Michael Hoben (Angela Peterson); brother, Randy Hoben (Cathy); sisters, Joan Belyea, Marcia Moore (Edison) and Caroline Cusack; grandson, Taylor Seymour (Erin); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Pete, Georgie, Richard, Danny and Kenny.


Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Journey Church, 131 Duncan Lane, Fredericton at 11 am with Rev. Janice Queale. Interment will take place in the Central Hainesville Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
