So sad to hear of Buddys passing. I will always remember him visiting me at Laura Secord every week to buy kiddy pops to give out to the children on the Sunday school bus that he worked on. He was a Godly man and loved by many. My sympathies go out to all his family. Cherish his memory always.❤️

So very sorry I cannot be there for Uncle Buddy’s funeral tomorrow. It was just back in early March that we had such a nice visit in his and Aunt Wilda’s home. He seemed so upbeat and as wonderful and positive as ever. I remember him talking about the importance of family and family moments. My sincerest condolences are extended to your entire family. My prayers are and will always be with you all. Love, Gary R. Gray

Wilda & Family - Our sympathies on the passing of your beloved Buddy. He and Ed worked together at Simon’s and enjoyed many great conversations. I’m reminded of the weekend trip we took to Halifax with you when our oldest son Dustin was just a newborn. We’ve always appreciated knowing Buddy as a faithful and cheerful presence at Olivet/Crosspoint. We know your memories of him will forever live in your hearts, bringing peace and strength.

Uncle Buddy and Aunt Wilda made our childhood summers extra special along with Nanny and Gramp. Heading down from Quebec every summer we would let out whoops of joy as we saw the street signs for Morrison and Fisher Avenue come into view. We knew we were somewhere fun, laughter-filled and overflowing with good food.
Uncle Buddy was a memorable Sunday School Superintendent who fired up the kids as he sought to replicate the love God has for us. I can see him standing on the steps of the big Sunday School bus picking up kids from all over Marysville. I can remember getting a special Sunday school pencil as a visitor and putting my offering in the church shaped piggy bank...too cool!
I also remember Uncle Buddy disappearing for countless solitary hours to clean the large church building.
If I was lucky enough to sleep over, I could creep to the top of the stairs around 6 a.m. and peek at Uncle Buddy in the kitchen on his knee doing his morning devotions. I think this was a lifelong habit.
When I started university in NB Uncle Buddy and Aunt Wilda were my home away from home and they treated me just like their own kid. I guess that was one of the really special things about him: he made you feel that he was always in your corner.
I will miss Uncle Buddy and the dynamic duo that he and Aunt Wilda were in their community and family.
Anne xoxo

So very sorry to hear this. Buddy was a dedicated follower of Christ and inspired others. There are so many memories of him - the garden, cleanest windows (well, Gracie may have disagreed), baking and canning, peppermint angel-food cake (so delicious!), hotdogs from Chippin\s, watermelon and ice-cream at Sunday School picnics, his laugh - the best laugh - a real laugh, dedication to cleaning the church, his service - so much service to the church, his beautiful decorations at home - and at the church,... So much of his life was shared with our family. In 2020, he attended The Salvation Army workshops and garden with Wilda. I loved having them and knew how much Buddy enjoyed painting the vegetable signs and harvesting the fresh vegetables. Of all of these memories, my most valued is of this past Christmas when I dropped by and the family was having a Christmas visit. Buddy asked me to stay and I was treated like family. For the first, only, and last time, I heard him read the Christmas story - with his family gathered around. I knew it was a great privilege for me. Buddy - you are going to be greatly missed. I love you and know dad and all of your friends welcomed you with open arms - just after Jesus.
