Anne, I am so sorry for your loss but so glad you found each other. Chris and Andrew please know he spoke of you with pride. I had the utmost respect for Peter and his dedication to his work with our inland fisheries, salmon in particular. He “walked the talk”, involving himself with organizations that advanced what he believed in. I was envious of his little piece of heaven on the Tobique and I know it brought him great joy. He will not be forgotten.

Beautiful tribute to an amazing guy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I went to work for DNR in 1984 and Peter was our Regional Fish Biologist then and continued to be for many many years. Peter was such a team player and always approachable and a very likable co-worker/friend.
Hold on to you're wonderful and lifelong memories.

Dear Connie and Noel,
So very sorry to hear about Peter’s passing. We had lots of good times together when you lived in Bath. Peter loved to tease Kevin and I about being “double cousin trouble” because I was related to your mom and Kevin was related to your dad. Please accept our sincere condolences and pass it on to his family. I really wanted to be there today but, unfortunately, health issues did not allow it! We will keep all of you in our prayers.

Deepest sympathies to all the family. I remember being an Altar Boy with him at Saint Joseph’s Church in Bath, in the 50s-60s, Met him in later years when he came down to our camps at East Grand Lake in Fosterville, in his fancy Gov’t. Pickup, we shared greet memoties that day. Not too long ago, I was flying back to Korea and he was sitting beside me on the airplane, his wife and a child were a ross tha aisle. Took both of us a minute ti figure out who we were sitting next too, as we were then chasing 70. That time, we shared Bath -Johnville stories for the rest of the flight. Have fond memories of his parents Frank and Gaynel, sister Dr. Connie and brother Noel. R.I.P. Peter Cronin - Monquarter. Prof. Paul Nugent

My sincere condolences to Anne and the family. I had the pleasure of working with Peter on numerous files in both our professional roles and our volunteer endeavours for almost 40 years. He was a dependable source of sage advice and measured opinion. His dedication and contribution to fisheries management, particularly Atlantic salmon conservation were innumerable. It was a privilege to be able to call him my friend. His loss will be felt across the conservation community. He will be sorely missed.

I want to offer my condolences to Ann and all the family. I had the privilege to know Peter over the past couple of decades and I simply can't say enough about what a great person and what significant contributions he made to the betterment of salmon conservation and the NB society in general. I had the pleasure to see him awarded the - much deserved - Lt Gov award and to spend some time with him on the Restigouche chasing salmon and in boardrooms chasing regulators! God Bless!

To Anne and family. I was fortunate to meet Peter when I became involved in watershed management on the Restigouche. Over the years he mentored me on how to deal with various government agencies when working to preserve wild atlantic salmon. Cecile and I then got to meet you and Peter and we did enjoy some lovely times along the river. We will always keep Peter in our hearts.

Sincere condolences to Peter's family. I worked closely with Peter while on an Interchange Canada assignment from DFO to the Province. I was the Director of Recreational Fisheries Management for NBDNRE and Peter was the the Regional Biologist for the part of the province that included Fredericton. One could always rely on him and his professionalism and he was a staunch defender of both provincial interests and the health of NB's fish stocks. Many benefitted from his knowledge and I was pleased to hear of his continued involvement in advocating for the resource once he had retired. Rest in peace.
