Obituary of Ross Myles Currie

CURRIE, ROSS MYLES 

The passing of Ross Myles Currie of Fredericton, NB, husband of Laura Theresa (Brothers) Currie, occurred on July 14, 2023 surrounded by family at the  Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on February 28, 1952 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Myles Freeman and Marion Alice (Harding) Currie. Ross worked as an Agent for Eastern Provincial Airlines then Air Canada, which allowed him to travel the world with Laura and friends. He lived most his life in Rusagonis where he and Laura raised their family along with his Mother Marion. He was a very social man, known for his quick-witted sense of humor, love of music, and playing crib with friends.   

In addition to his loving wife, Ross is survived by his daughters, Monica Fitzpatrick (Raymond) and Judith Currie (Joel Mazerolle); grandchildren, Nevaeh and J.J; sisters, Marilyn MacNeill (Wayne) and Judith Hawkins; brother-in-law, Aubrey Kelly; several beloved nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ross was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Kelly. 

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor Norm McDonald officiating.  Interment will take place following the Service at the Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB, with reception to follow.
