The passing of Lester Hubert Gullison of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Zola (Black) Gullison, occurred on Friday, July 7, 2023.  Born on February 24, 1936 in Williamsburg, NB, he was a son of the late Ernest and Phyllis (Clarkson) Gullison.  Lester was employed with Midland Transport for many years, until his retirement at the age of 79.   

 

Lester is survived by his two sons, Laurie Gullison (Brenda) and Duane Gullison (Eda); grandchildren, Scott (Carly), Laura Barr (Dave), Justin (Sara), Curtis (Kathy) and Kyle; Grampie Lester had 6 great grandchildren, Connor, Kailey, Callie, Jaxon, Carmello and Gabriella; sisters, Grace Jennings (Bill), Blanche Dixon, Avis Boyd (Pat), Bernice MacFarlane (Jim), Wilma Herrington (Glen), Debbie Legassie (Lowell); brother, Phillip Gullison (Shirley); brother in law, Curtis Rupert; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his wife and parents, Lester was predeceased by his brother, Cedric Gullison; and sister, Nina Rupert.

 

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating.

 

Following the Service, a Private Family Interment will take place at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor's choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
