Obituary of Michael Joseph King

The passing of Michael J. King occurred in Fredericton, NB on Friday, June 23, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Mike was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and is the son of the late Mark and Irene King. Mike spent his early career in the RCMP before working for many years in the Insurance Adjusting field. He enjoyed skiing, hunting, fishing and golfing and in recent years enjoyed watching football.

 

Michael is survived by his loving son, Liam King (Samantha) of Toronto, ON and his family in Corner Brook, sisters, Maureen Skanes (Dave), Debbie Mayo (Derek), Janet Bonnell (Brian), Paula Power (Brian) and Joan King-Pike; brothers, Peter King, David King (Brenda) and Stephen King; along with many nieces and nephews.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. Following Michael’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Interment will take place at a later date in Corner Brook, NL.

 

Mike's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff and caregivers of York Care Center (Tower 2) for their exemplary support, kindness and care over the past two years.
