Obituary of Beatrice Pauline Day

The passing of Beatrice Pauline Day of Gagetown, NB wife of the late Edward Day occurred on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Orchard View Nursing Home.  Born on June 6, 1932 in Durham Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Estey) Pond.   Beatrice liked old country and gospel music, going to legion dances, playing bingo, and she was a member of the Golden Age Club. Her true passion was her love of animals. She would rescue, nurture and care for any animal in need. Her home was always full of animal friends.

Beatrice is survived by her niece, Juliette Day (late Carl Moran) of Durham Bridge, NB; nephew, Hal Peterson of Oromocto, NB; several other nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Chico and Lucky.  Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorene Peterson (Hugh); and brother, Burpee Pond.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. At Beatrice’s request, there will be no public services at this time.  A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Lower Durham Cemetery.
