With great sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Munn, wife of Leonard Munn of Holtville, NB, on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Hospice House in Fredericton.  Born on August 11, 1945 in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Albert William and Doris (Hinks) Carey. Marilyn worked for the Marysville Cotton Mill, later for Kmart and finally as gatekeeper for Irving Woodlands. She was a member of Miramichi First Pentecostal Church, Holtville, where she was very active in the church and a long time Sunday School teacher.

 

In addition to her loving husband, Marilyn is survived by her son, Mark Munn (Elizabeth) of Fredericton; daughter, Andrea Munn (Edgar) of Minto; grandchildren, Gabrielle Munn, Joshua Munn (Amelia), Angelina Abbott (James), Sophie Abbott; great-grandson, Taylen; sisters, Barbara Carson of Durham, Valerie Connor (Charlie) of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Archie Carson.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Visitation will take place at Miramichi First Pentecostal Church, 376 Holtville Road, Holtville NB on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1-2 pm.  The Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Landon Decker officiating and Rev. Lester Mitchell assisting. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice House Fredericton or Miramichi First Pentecostal Church (Sunday School Program).  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
