Obituary of Margaret Ann Drost

The passing of Margaret Ann Drost of Kingsley, NB, wife of the late Ghislain Dube, occurred on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on January 10, 1947 in Bath, NB, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Gladys (Holmes) Drost. 

Margaret is survived by her son, Tony McGivney; grandchildren, Samuel, Kelsey and Megan; great grandchildren, Paislyn, Camden, Axton and Weston; sister, Irene Buckingham; and nephews, Jesse (Chat), Vincent and John; special friend, Anne Haines.

Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by her son, Richard "Rick" McGivney; and her sister, Rose Drost.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 1- 2 pm; followed by a Funeral Service 2 pm with Rev. Steven Teed officiating.  Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
