Obituary of Clifford Greer

 

The sudden passing of Clifford Greer of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, occurred on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his home.  Born on Thursday, June 14, 1962 in Fredericton, NB,  he was the son of Joyce Elaine Gilks and the late Clifford Greer Sr. 

 

In addition to his mother, Clifford is survived by his brother, Bennett Greer of Grand Lake; and sisters, Gina LaTourneau-Atwell, Tammy DiMarco, Jennifer LaTourneau-Crossman, all of Ontario. He leaves behind many friends and neighbours, especially on the Nashwaak West Road, who will miss him dearly.

Besides his father, Clifford was predeceased by his brother, Terry LaTourneau.

 

Clifford was a kind man who would help with anything he was asked. He was incredibly gifted with figuring out how to make things work. Clifford could grow an amazing garden from the seeds of the fruit and vegetables he had, and he readily shared whatever he had for seeds. He grew flowers and loved to show them off to visitors.

 

Clifford far preferred the company of animals of all kinds - birds, squirrels, raccoons, and his cat, Dougie, to that of people; though if you were his friend, you were friends for life, no matter how upset he could become with you.

 

Clifford spent some time in foster care and was always thankful to Lavona Gilmore for continuing to check on him and Bennett.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home. In keeping with Clifford's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Clifford’s memory may be made to the Just Friends Food Bank, Stanley, NB.
