Obituary of Paul Leonard Lyons

The passing of Paul Leonard Lyons occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestown.  Paul was born on November 24, 1947 in Nelson Hollow, NB.

 

Paul is survived by his wife, Wanda Lyons; sister, Lena Palmer of Ludlow; brother, Marven Lyons (Nancy) of Keswick, NB; stepdaughter, Nicole (Joey) of McNamee; step-grandchildren, Mirriah Home, Katelyn Porter and Lauren Porter, Tristan Price-Crowley and his furry companion Bailey.

 

Paul loved his music and his music family. Paul was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on April 21, 2012. He was so happy for the honor.  He will be remembered for his music, tormenting and his witty sense of humour.

 

Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, Boiestown, NB on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1 to 2 pm and will be followed directly by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Ludlow Baptist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Central NB Nursing Home or a charity of the donor’s choice.
