Obituary of Brenda Helen Logan

Please share a memory of Brenda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brenda Helen Logan of Minto, NB, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the age of 69. Born in Halifax, NS, on October 29, 1953, Brenda was the daughter of both the late Donald Logan and Kathleen (Gorman) Logan.

She has left behind her pride and joy, her daughter Jodi Steeves (Chris) of Fort McMurray, AB, her darling grandsons Brendan Stapledon (Tia) of Fredericton, NB and Christian Steeves (Jem) of Fort McMurray, AB and her precious great granddaughter Nora Jo Stapledon of Fredericton, NB.; her brother, Donald Logan of Moncton, NB; her brother-in-law, Wayne Fullerton of Moncton, NB; her sister-in-law, Dianne Logan of Moncton, NB; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Bob Logan; sister, Linda Fullerton; many great friends; and her companion and best friend, her dog, Jake.

Brenda loved her family and friends immensely, and no one more than her “Jo”. She cherished her and the time spent together in person or through the many phone chats they had each week. She was beyond proud of the mom she was to the boys, her adventures, and her accomplishments. When Brendan and Christian were little boys, they would often spend lots of time at their Nana’s and always left saying, “Thank you Nana. I love you Nana. You are the best Nana in the whole wide world.” She especially loved being Nana Logan to Nora Jo. She loved when Nora would visit, and they would walk up to the Corner Store to spoil her with treats.

Brenda loved helping out at the Corner Store on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She loved all the ladies, the conversations, and most importantly, the friendships. She especially loved her Sunday night bingo nights at home with her friends. She loved watching her cooking shows, The Blind Side, and reruns of Dylan and Kwame on Amazing Race Canada.  She loved baking and cooking for others. She was known for her ginger snaps, Lady Ashburnham pickles, and her shrimp dip recipe that got shared more and more every year at Christmas.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Brenda’s Life will be held at York Funeral Home’s T.
