Prayers
God of grace and glory, we thank you for Suzanne, who was so near and dear to us, and who has now been taken from us. We thank you for the love she offered and received while she was with us on earth.
We pray that nothing good from her life will be lost, but will be of benefit to the world; that all that was important to her will be cherished by those who follow.
We ask that she may go on living in her children, her family and her friends; in their hearts and minds, in their courage and their memories.
We ask you that we who were close to her may now, because of her death, be even closer to each other, and that we may, in peace and friendship here on earth, always be deeply conscious of your promise to be faithful to us in death.
We pray for ourselves, who are severely tested by this death, that we do not try to minimize this loss, or seek refuge from it in words alone, and also that we do not brood over it so that it overwhelms us and isolates us from others.
May God grant us courage and confidence in the new life of Christ. We ask this in the name of the risen Lord. Amen.
Interment of Ashes
In sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ, we commend to almighty God our beloved Suzanne, and we commit her ashes to the ground (or to the deep, or their resting place);
Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
The Lord bless her and keep her, the Lord make his face to shine upon her and be gracious to her, the Lord lift up his countenance upon her and give her peace. Amen.

I spent many years around my mother and Eric while they lived on the Sunshine Coast and also in Port Coquitlam.
These were the places that made her happiest, and I truly do know Eric loved her with all his heart.
I think I was fortunate out of all my siblings to have been able to spend the most time with her and Eric. With our boating trips out into the bay, fishing trips, the driving adventures in Vancouver, developing a green thumb with them, countless dog walks, and many many summers spent out with both of them. I got to see a different side of mom and Eric that most didn't

I hear her laugh, I see her smile when we had such happy times in Pender Harbour. She was sunshine, joy and such fun. Suzanne was a merchant, retailer, crafter extrordinaire. One Christmas season she borrowed my 8 foot inflatable snowman for the entrance to her popup store. She forgot to take the snowman in when the store was closed for two days and it deflated, not quite Frosty melting but close LOL. Front page news! Angel now, angel, always darling girl. Love and hugs and hot wings to you both, Dilys

Suzanne and I met working at Save on Foods Port Coquitlam floral dept. 2005 and immediately became stead fast friends. We talked or met for coffee almost everyday. Erik wld supply us with an endless amount of cheese snacks, coffee and his witty kind humor!!! When I retired, we continued to have morning coffee phone dates!!!
I was so honoured to be in their wedding party and it was truly a beautiful celebration. Followed by a short honeymoon with my family in the Shuswap. Unfortunately our friendship slowed when they moved to the Sunshine Coast and subsequent move to the east coast. Suzanne and Erik were unforgettable friends and always in my thoughts. Suzanne had the most infectious laugh, an incredibly hard worker, a heart of gold and a best friend anyone could ever be blessed with. Rest In Peace my dear friend xoxo

Erik and Suzanne moved from Winnipeg, MB to Madeira Park, Sunshine Coast BC to start their new life together. They married on Aug 18 2007. Suzanne had said her wedding and life with Erik was like a fairy tale. A dream she had wished for since she was child.
Suzanne had a witty personality, strong-willed, outgoing and a beautiful smile. She loved the good things in life and filled many hats over the years that made her shine in all the relationships she had cared about. She loved cooking, baking, decorating her home in beautiful things that made her feel good. She loved to wear fancy clothes and enjoyed working for herself! This gave her flexibile time to enjoy what she loved to do. She inspired us by the skills and talents and when she wanted to do something, she definitely put her heart and energy into it, and it showed.
She was an amazing, artist to create the things that looked stunning! She was a creative entrepreneur who had several businesses such as Suzanne's Santa WorkShop, Suzanne's Coffee Plus, Funky Doodle Creations to name a few. Suzanne loved her house plants, flowers and her gardens. She had an opportunity to become a manager for a florist shop! The displays were stunning and it shown through her professionalism.
Over the many years, Suzanne had made murals, lawn ordiments, had an all year round homemade craft store and each piece she made was filled with love and her signature touch. She really loved being with her husband and their dogs, Casey, Katie and Goergie. .
I remember her favorite saying after her sentences ( I can still remember her voice as clear as day as if she was next to me). " Don't you know!"
Her home was warm and inviting as it was beautiful and decorated with the fine pieces she made.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
“To the world you might just be one person,
but to one person you might just be the world”.
“While we honor all our mothers
With words of love and praise.
While we tell about their goodness
And their kind and loving ways.
We should also think of Grandma,
She's a mother too, you see....
For she mothered my dear mother
As my mother mothers me”.

I don't remember this but, my mom tells me and my brother all the time about how our Grandma spoiled us as kids. All of the books she sent us, we still have. All of the pictures we took together, my mom keeps in a picture album for us. All of our precious moments together, they stay in our memories forever. I never knew my Grandma that well, and I wish I did, it's something we all take for granted. I will miss her, forever and always.

In 2015, We were asked by mom to send some incarnation (birthday) cards to cheer and root for our Dad - Erik during his fight against cancer. I sent him a card with pictures of his grand kids. My son sphinx ran for the Terry Fox run at his school in honor of his grandfather and wore Erik's name.. He was telling me all about it when he got home. He was touched by all of the love and support with every card he received. Since mom moved to NB i sent cards to her but sometimes it was hard for mom to go get her mail as she had to get someone to drive her to get it as it was an hour away. So i would call. I know both of you are now together and even though i cant send u cards or call. I know you are happy now together and are here with me!! I send u my love and blessings to you both above.
