Dear Susan,
This will be a voice from your past because I not live in Ontario (not necessarily willingly). I keep in touch with friends from "home:" via the Gleaner. I read the obit for your father and I am truly sorry you have lost him. Fathers are usually such an influence on their daughters and there is a different kind of bond there. No matter what age a person is when they die it is always a shock and a horrendous blow to our heart. Take time to grieve, Sue, and do it in your own way not what we people expect from you. I have had some experience in grief with my family all gone years ago, and our only son 4 years ago.
I remember our classroom experiences and how much I enjoyed them. I wear the silver cross you gave me almost constantly and so I thank you for it once again.
Take care, Sue, and look after yourself.
Nothing will be the same without him but everything is better because of him.
