Obituary of Preston Dean Harding

The passing of Preston Dean Harding of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Patricia (Sullivan) Harding, occurred on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 24, 1956 in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Emlyn and Ida (Thompson) Harding.

Preston is survived by his daughters, Racquel Kelly (Kyle) of Geary, NB and Tarha Harding of Fredericton, NB; sister, May Harding of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Bob Harding (Pat) of Cumberland Bay, NB and Bill Harding (Marie) of Milton, ON; grandchildren, Gabriel, Aaliyah, Michael and Brianna; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Madeliene Canning and Violet Daigle; brothers, Cyril Harding and Steven Harding.

Preston’s true joys in life were fishing, hunting, classic model cars, family, good friends, but most of all his grandchildren. Preston never missed an opportunity to see their smiling faces light up as he would walk through the door and straight into their arms. Preston drove transport trucks for over 30 years, and often recalled fond memories of his journeys and the people he met along the way.

Funeral service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.
