So saddened to hear of the passing of our beautiful Aunt Joyce. I always felt a special connection with her. We loved our visits with her. She couldn’t do enough for us. We had many chats & a good many laughs. When growing up, we were so happy to see them, & she was just as happy to see us. We will never forget her. She’ll always be in our hearts. Wish we could be there to share in your sorrow. Sending loves & prayers to Jeff, Paul & Tracey & families. Love to all if you.

I feel like I had a special bond with my dear Aunt Joyce from the moment she pulled me out of the window of the taxi when we arrived in Deer Lake when I was a baby and she wanted to be the first to hold me. We have been more than Aunt & Niece since then… I could probably write a book about all my memories but the most important memory is that I loved her deeply. Aunt Joyce will be missed but never forgotten. Love & Prayers Niece Beatie (Beatrice) Bingle

Paul and family, so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing she sounded like a very loving and much loved person. Losing parents is not an easy process for any of us and leaves a void that cannot be filled. I hope you all cherish the great times you had with her and I extend my deepest condolences to you on her loss.

We were truly blessed to have found Nana Joyce as a babysitter for Emily and Mallory. She treated those kids like they were her own - knitting and cooking and providing the most loving environment you could ever ask your child to be in. One thing that I always remember is when Emily was small and I would go to pick her up, she would cry because she didn't want to leave! Joyce asked me if that bothered me and I told her it certainly didn't and that it made me know how much she was loved. We always felt Ralph and Nana Joyce were another set of grandparents to our kids and very special friends to me and John. She was one of a kind and will be missed by many. Rest easy Nana Joyce. We love you.

Jeff, Paul, Tracey and families, no written words can ease the pain, and no hug will ever replace your mothers hug. Joyce made you feel that you were family! Her smile lit up the room and her warmth filled it. I can picture her now, sitting at the table with your dad and my parents, mom cracking her knuckles with a good hand in Scat.
Her love for her children and grandchildren will undoubtedly live on. Rest peacefully Joyce xxx

I have several fond memories but most of all I remember her phrases and the love she showed to all her “kids”. One of my favourites was her rationale for why she was “Nana” and NOT nanny. She was adamant about not wanting to be associated as a nanny goat. For many years in our family, Nana Joyce was an extended Grandmother. She was such a special lady with a huge heart. I even remember going camping and hunting with her and Ralph. As we aged, my parents remained in contact with the Elliot family and we were always kept up to date on their happenings. Sending condolences and peace to all who had the experience to know Joyce like we were fortunate to have had.

Don’t know what to say. Hearts broken in pieces. lost my best friend. My mudder so much I want to say. I was 15 years old when I met mudder. Through her son Jeff cole. And thank you Jeff. I was so scared , to meet her. It only took couple days. and she took me under her wing. She taught me so much in life. Took me to my first Santa Claus parade. Took me strawberry picking. She said are you ok I was not sure what she was talking about. She looked at me I was in the strawberry patch covered in juice. Cause I ate so much. What a laugh we had. Apple picking. She taught me so much. Was there in my darkest hours. Always picked me up. Surguries I had had. Over the years She was there to take me and sit with me. Going miss making pickles with her in the fall. Xmas. Making cookies. Helping her decorate. Playing cards. Having them out to camp have lobster. And so many meals at her home. Did I mention the best potato salad ever !! I know paul would agree . Amazing woman. She was my rock. My confidant. Partner in crime My soul has a hole in it. but I can go on and on about mudder. I know she’s at peace suffers no more. She was a angel on earth. And now in heaven. Fly with the angels mudder. You always be in my heart forever. You my best friend. Most of all. I’m so proud. And thankful for all you did for me. And proud call you my mudder. Rip. Love you always. Dale your other daughter. That’s how she use to introduce me to people that did not know our relationship. I was never so proud. miss love you mudder now and forever in my heart

I did not personally know her but she had, obviously, wonderful children which is a testament to a mother's character. I offer sincere condolences.
